Cod Steaks' sumptuous mural, featuring fibre optic lighting that 'follows' the spectator, was created to provide a calming and enchanting distraction for children awaiting a CAT scan procedure at the Bristol Children's Hospital. Interior public artwork.

The long awaited playground boundary was put out to open tender and Cod Steaks won the commission to design and build the 120m fencing with integrated artworks. 'Breaking In' features unique animal characters who are there for the enjoyment of the children and visitors to the park - pulling holes through the fence to join in with the play. The choice of animals were as a result of community consultation with two local primary schools - St Mary's and Walkley - through model making workshops held at both schools...

The giant Propellerhead Garden now installed at the Poole Commerce Centre is a commemoration of the shipping and aviation industries that helped shape Poole's economy. Having been selected from international open tender, Cod Steaks submitted 7 original designs for the site, 5 of which went through to be displayed at a public exhibition. Feedback was colated and the clear favourite went on to be built and installed: Propellerhead Garden...

The giant Mustad Nails were built as a witty reminder of one of the founding industries that helped build Portishead's economy. Sited within a new housing development, the nails stand at approx. 15ft in height.

Built from recycled materials and weathering steel 'corten', the Recycled Livestock sculpture commemorates the sites historical use as a thriving livestock market, and celebrates Shrewsbury's pioneering environmental efforts today. Larger than life, the sheep are based on the local Shropshire Down variety, known around the world for their hardy breed!

Even though Lifford has deeply rooted historical significance, local people felt that the town had been overlooked in recent years and not been given the respect it deserved - particularly as it is the official entrance to the county of Donegal. The three coins were built to re-establish the identity of Lifford and form a commemmorative gateway that can be read on many different levels: the number three is also symbolic for faith, and marks the three rivers that converge at Lifford. Each coin has pictorial references to Lifford's past and present attributes and the artist specially commissioned a unique Latin phrase to be embossed around each rim, symbolic of the heart's cry for the town: "Praeterita Fecunda ~ Futura Praeclara". Loosely translated, 'Rich Heritage, Bright Future'. Situated on the central roundabout in Lifford, and respectively the 3 coins stand at 4.5m, 3m and 2.5 m in height...

Built as a gateway to Prestatyn and marking the start / completion of the Offa's Dyke Trail, the giant Roman Helmet is a treasure unearthed... to be discovered. Standing at approx. 1.5m tall & 4m in length the sculpture was formed entirely by hand in steel, and the embossings found on the helmet are taken from design drawings provided by local pupils at Prestatyn High School as part of the community consultation. The symbols relate to unique attractions, places, people and events significant to Prestatyn.
