Created in Ashford Kent by Oliver Winconek, designed to reflect how people feel about the loss of the ring road. For over 30 years Ashford town centre was encircled by ring road, people complained frequently and then in 2007 the ring road was transformed into a cleaner, free-flowing, more streamlined version of itself. Where people happy? Where they hell, instead of giving it a chance people slated the new design and even suggested it should be put back to how it was originally! Hence; Mummy where's the Ring road gone?

Installed in Ashford, Kent by Oliver Winconek. It reflects how some members of the public view contemporary, urban art and see it as a destructive force. This 'Nimby' attitude creates friction and can be damaging to the artistic interest of the town. The elephant and policemen are life-sized and made of wood, spray painted and placed in situ.
