Bronze by Jill Watson in tribute to the wives and children of the fishermen lost at sea during the storm on Black Friday, October 14, 1881 along the South East Coast of Scotland. Other memorials are at Eyemouth and St Abbs, Others are planned when funding becomes available.

Otherwise known as 'The Horse' unveiled in 1914 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of a skirmish between the youths of Hawick where they routed the the English army at Hornshole, and captured the Bishop of Hexham's flag.
The sculptor William F. Beattie was 25 years old when he made this, he went off to serve King and Country in the Great War and like so many, did not survive to return.

The sculptor was Birnie Rhind, the model was Anthony James Hinnegan, the horse was called Polly. It was erected to commemorate the Royal Scots Grays part in the South African Wars.A fine example of an equestrian statue.
