I'm nige. Photographer and aesthete, with a love of capturing things at street level, be they people, art, or otherwise.
Public art, in my opinion, is highly relevant. It captures the zeitgeist, links us to our past, and does so without containing itelf in the walls of high-brow galleries, choosing instead to confront us passers-by whilst moving from A to B, when something else is probably occupying our minds & our time. We are busy people, working longer hours than we ever have. Time is fleeting, and with so little of it left to spend with our families and friends, what time have we for art?
So, this is why i am interested in that which will make me stop - even if for just a moment - and think, or provoke a reaction in me. Sculpture | Grafitti | Architecture | Installation | Performance. These are my areas of interest, and i hope to convey that interest with this moblog.
